Beattie and Stewart's wedding day was a beautiful mix of modern and vintage. Every moment was filled with joy, laughter, love and special moments. From the bridal party preparations to the sweet moments between Beattie and Stewart on their wedding day, it was a day that I know they'll remember for the rest of their lives! In this blog, I'm going to walk you through the day, sharing some of my favorite photos from Beattie and Stewart's wedding so that you can get an idea of how special it really was. So sit back and enjoy as I take you through their wedding in photos!
Preparing for the Day
When Beattie & Stewart met to talk about their wedding day, they had a few things they wanted to make sure were taken care of. Chief among these was that they wanted photos with a cocoa aesthetic, which I was happy to honor. We met before hand to plan out the timeline of the day, and I was the lead shooter. John Phillips was in the background hybrid shooting & setting up lights for needed shots. Riley Carson was with us as well primarily shooting video coverage of the day. It was a beautiful day, and everyone had a great time!
Getting Ready
When it comes to wedding planning, Beattie & Stewart went all out for a modern vintage wedding. From the chic wedding gown to the out-of-this-world Mezcalero boots Beattie received, everything about their day was designed to be timeless and stylish. Beattie & her bridesmaids had a lot of fun relaxing in the morning before getting ready with champagne to go around. She chose amber silk gowns for her bridesmaids to wear. For Stewart & his groomsmen, it was all about smoking cigars outside before getting ready in their suite. For a more GQ vibe, Stewart opted for navy slim fitting suits. The final touches of the wedding were done with lace tablecloths and antique candelabras. They chose a modern vintage style dress that complimented each other perfectly. Thanks to the bride & groom, their wedding was as stylish as it was fun!
Beattie's First Look with her Dad
Beattie & Stewart didn't want a first look together, just with her dad. Her dad's face lit up with joy as he saw his beautiful daughter ready to walk down the aisle. There with her were both her & Stewarts grandfathers, as well as Stewarts dad. This was just one of many magical moments that made their big day so unforgettable.
Bridal Party Photos
When it comes to wedding photography, it's all about capturing the moment. That's why Beattie chose to have her bridesmaids photos taken on the dirt road traveling into the venue, right next to grazing horses. The beautiful lighting coming through the trees really lit up their faces, creating beautiful photos that captured the fun-loving personalities of the girls perfectly. Stewart and his groomsmen waited until the girls were done to have their photos taken at an outside chapel, which gave them a more relaxed and intimate vibe. They were a lot of fun and had plenty of personality to go around!
Beattie & Stewart Portrait Session
Getting married is a very special day and deserves to be captured perfectly. It was a little tricky to take the Bride & Groom portraits since they weren't going to see each other until the ceremony. We made sure that Beattie was separated from Stewart during her session and vice versa. We took each of them separately in the woods behind the chapel and their photos turned out stunning because of the great lighting we were able to capture at the right time. We also took Stewart to a vintage Ford Bronco that he had rented. The Bronco added a touch of class and coolness to his photos, and Stewart's attitude was awesome during his portion of the day. All in all, their wedding was perfect and I'm so happy that we were able to capture it!
Sweet Moments Before
The love between Beattie and Stewart was evident in every prayer that was said before their wedding. The emotional sweet moments before the ceremony were so special as Beattie & Stewart were prayed over separately. Beattie was prayed over by her bridesmaids in her bridal suite, while Stewart was prayed over by his groomsmen. The love and devotion between them and their people was palpable, and it was truly beautiful to witness.
The Ceremony
Weddings can be beautiful and emotional affairs, and Beattie & Stewart's wedding was no exception. The ceremony began with music from a violinist and pianist as guests waited for the ceremony to start. The chapel was decorated with a simple pompas-feature on a cross at the front, and guests were captivated by Beattie's beauty in her timeless gown and pastel-hued bouquet of soft roses & pompas. Beattie & Stewart exchanged vows in an emotional exchange of love by the cross in the chapel. They took communion with each other and prayed as beautiful music filled the chapel from one of Beattie's Bridesmaids. Their exit was filled with joy from the couple and rounds of cheers from all the guests. Congratulations, Beattie & Stewart!
Beattie & Stewart Alone
They went with their family to an outdoor chapel situated with flood lights since it was dark, then afterwards, they took some time with me to take some amazing photos. One of my favorites from the night is when Beattie & Stewart sat on a vintage couch in the lobby of the chapel. Beattie was wanting to make sure they took a photo there, and at first I wasn't sure how it would work since the space was tight and the lighting wasn't great....but like I said, it turned out to be one of my favorites. It was such a beautiful moment that will be remembered forever!
Reception & Exit
The reception is the perfect opportunity to show your wedding guests how much you love them and how much fun you're having. Beattie and Stewart opted for a modern vintage wedding with a neon accent and lush floral arrangements for their reception. The bridal party entered in their flashy style, with hilarious tropes as they came in! Beattie & Stewart saw a trend where the DJ played a song while the bride & groom go around to take a photo with each table of guests before the song ends. The challenge for me was to plan a route for them to go through the room in before the short song ended. Thankfully, we were able to accomplish it in time! The reception was fun, filled with family, and you could tell how loved they are and how much they love their family. The exit had lanterns on poles while the couple exited to their Bronco to leave. Beattie rocked her boots!
Details
When Beattie & Stewart got married, they wanted to do something truly unique and special. Their wedding was held at The Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The rustic chapel was the perfect setting for their dreamy color palette of champagne, amber and sand. The reception was held in their cobblestone hall that was treated to modern and vintage touches. The cake was elegant, yet striking and was placed in front of a roaring fire adorned with a mesmerizing neon sign. What makes this wedding so special is that it's truly a modern vintage wedding - a perfect mix of old-world charm and 21st century glamour. Congratulations Beattie & Stewart!
