A Rainy Day Proposal: Brooke & Jacob's Magical Moment

I'm so excited to share with you one of the most memorable and beautiful proposals I've had the honor of photographing. Jacob and Brooke are two of my closest friends and I've known them for years. They are such a sweet and fun-loving couple and I was thrilled when Jacob asked me to help him plan and capture his proposal to Brooke.

He had chosen the King's River Overlook Trail in Arkansas as the perfect spot to pop the question. It's a scenic hike that offers stunning views of the river and the mountains. He wanted to surprise Brooke at the end of the trail by getting down on one knee.

However, things didn't go exactly as planned. The day of the proposal, it started raining heavily and we had to rethink our strategy. He decided to shift to the King's River Overlook Trail in Arkansas as the perfect Plan B. It's a scenic hike that offers stunning views of the river and the mountains. I decided to drive to the trailhead and wait for a break in the weather, but it never came and I was supposed to hide on the trail and wait for them to arrive.

I walked to the overlook and waited on both of them. Brooke had no idea what was about to happen. Jacob casually reached for his pocket and pulled out the ring box and opened it in front of her. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

She was so shocked that she got down on her knees and.....She said yes!

It was such a beautiful and emotional moment and I was so happy to capture it for them. They hugged and kissed and smiled from ear to ear. The rain didn't matter anymore....It was like they were in their own little world.

After they calmed down a bit and the rain subsided, we were able to do a short mini session with them. They were glowing with happiness and love and it showed in every picture. They hugged, kissed, laughed, and danced at the overlook. They looked like they were on cloud nine.

I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of this special day and witness their love story unfold. Jacob and Brooke are such an amazing couple and I can't wait to see them get married. They deserve all the happiness in the world.
